Local Talent

The DC, Maryland, Virginia area also know has the DMV is full talent. So I decided why not try and give exposure to this young talented area, so please bare with me as this is my first off the top with no questions prepared at all, also not to mention this is the first interview i have ever done. Thankfully it was with a good friend of mine Alvin Moore aka Vino.

Jayso: What are your motivations and interest?

Alvin: Things that motivate me are my life experiences and connections! I live to make to connections. My interest in this exact order....lol, began with drawing and cartooning, then as I became more involved in the booming street-wear sub-culture, my interest and need for expression through my interests got larger. I began to experiment with photography, photo manipulation...which eventually went on to graphic design/animation and motion graphic design.

Art is my niche, but I portray my love for the genre and express it in many diff avenues. Photography being my favorite and what sparked what would be a life fully involved with anything photography and design related.

Jayso: You said “being involved in street-wear culture” what is your style?

Alvin: I wear all black all the time, and 90% of my tee shirts are black.

Jayso: I know you’re a car guy, what’s your style and what is a must when getting into the car scene?

Alvin: Stance is a must! ask any VW driver!! VW'S and Euros do it for me and is REALLY what started my entire love for the car tuning scene, but my love began with jdms! My first car was a Toyota Cressida 5mge and I wanted to slam the shit out of it and rock polished deep dish steelies!


Jayso: What are your plans for the future, what should we expect?

Alvin: Future projects for me include many things, as I am a jack of all trades! Main focus, which has been “THE MAIN” focus for the past 4 years, was starting a reputable brand of clothing for me and my friends, an extension of my lifestyle and simply a designated place for me to further connect with people on an artistic minded level. I also wish to tap into the design field by either teaming up with an existing firm, or starting one full of design/photo/model amateurs looking for their first big show like me. Plans may also lead into the direction of more event planning and hosting, I do this in Orlando and its really taking off and comes very natural to me......what started as CLUB PHOTOGRAPHY for whats2hot.com....later turned into promoting and marketing for absolutenights.com

Recently we were given the chance to shoot a J.Cole performance at the University of Maryland. We would like to thank Dan from RealMangoJuice.com for giving us this opportunity. J.Cole killed it, his deliverance and crowd interaction was amazing.


J.Cole picked this girl from the crowd to recite the chorus on one of his songs.

Not to sure how i feel about this song yet. but its starting to win me over little by little, N.E.R.D always seems to know how to make you groove to the beat, without you noticing. Anyway, its a great summer song and i cant wait for the album to drop.
